Three Flavor Neutrino Oscillation Analysis of the Kamiokande Multi-gev Atmospheric Neutrino Data

Using the published Kamiokande data of the multi-GeV atmospheric neutrinos, we have searched the optimum set of the neutrino oscillation parameters among three flavors. It is found that χ is minimized for (∆m21, ∆m 2 31) = (3.8×10−2 eV, 1.4×10−2 eV), (θ12, θ13, θ23) = (19,43,41) with χmin = 3.2 (42%CL). The sets of parameters (∆m21, ∆m 2 31) = (O(10−11eV2) or O(10−5eV2), O(10−2eV2)) which are suggested by the two flavor analysis fall within 0.7σ. Email: [email protected]
